Industry Screenings are Porto Industry Days’ work-in-progress and rough cut platform, dedicated to the private presentation of film and audiovisual projects at an advanced stage of post-production.
Over two days, the activity presents selected projects to programmers, sales agents, distributors, platforms, broadcasters, consultants and other invited professionals. Its aim is to support the definition of premiere, sales, distribution, completion and international circulation strategies, creating a reserved context for viewing, professional discussion and tailored meetings.
The sessions are private and exclusively addressed to accredited professionals or participants authorised by the organisation. Participation in the Industry Screenings, as a professional and restricted-access activity, does not constitute a public premiere of the projects presented.
Each selected project will have a total presentation time of up to 20 minutes, including a short introduction by the team, the screening of representative excerpts, preferably up to 15 minutes, and, when applicable, a short moderated conversation or comment. The programme also includes a mandatory preparatory session, a professional masterclass and a personalised schedule of one-to-one meetings.
Industry Screenings are intended for projects of all genres and lengths, with edited material sufficiently developed to demonstrate the narrative, aesthetic and cinematic approach of the work. They are particularly suited to projects seeking strategic support for world premiere, festivals, sales, distribution, platforms, finishing support or international circulation.
OPEN CALL
Applications for Industry Screenings 2026 are open from 15 May to 15 July 2026.
WHO CAN APPLY
Applications may be submitted by independent production companies, filmmakers or legally authorised representatives of film or audiovisual projects connected to countries participating in the Creative Europe MEDIA sub-programme.
Projects of all genres and lengths are eligible, including fiction, documentary, animation, experimental, hybrid or other contemporary forms of audiovisual creation.
Up to 12 projects in post-production, rough cut or work-in-progress stage will be selected. Projects must be sufficiently advanced to allow a clear assessment of their narrative, aesthetic and cinematic approach.
The application should include, whenever possible, a full rough cut. If the project does not yet have a complete version, a representative excerpt with a recommended minimum duration of 20 minutes may be submitted. All audiovisual materials must include English subtitles, except when the work is entirely spoken in English.
The selection will take into account the quality, maturity and consistency of the submitted audiovisual material, as well as the project’s international circulation potential, the clarity of the needs presented, the feasibility of completion, the premiere strategy and the project’s suitability for the professional context of the Industry Screenings.
More information about the regulations and the application form will be available soon.
