Co-Production Meetings

24 - 25 Nov

The Co-Production Meetings are Porto Industry Days’ platform dedicated to film and audiovisual projects in development or pre-production.

In 2026, the activity strengthens its European dimension, promoting contact between selected projects and producers, funds, sales agents, distributors, programmers, platforms, consultants and other invited professionals. Its aim is to support financing, co-production and international circulation strategies, creating the conditions for relevant professional encounters and concrete partnerships.

Over two days, the selected projects take part in a preparatory session, are publicly presented in English and benefit from a personalised schedule of one-to-one meetings. Each presentation will last a maximum of 8 minutes, including a teaser or mood video with a maximum duration of 3 minutes.

The selection prioritises projects with an authorial vision, development maturity, international co-production potential, financial feasibility and the capacity to benefit from a professional market context. The programme also seeks to encourage diversity of territories, formats, film genres, creative teams and artistic approaches.

OPEN CALL

Applications for the Co-Production Meetings 2026 are open from 15 May to 15 July 2026.

WHO CAN APPLY

Applications may be submitted by independent production companies legally established in countries participating in the Creative Europe MEDIA sub-programme.

Projects with co-producers, creative partners, production elements or financing components from non-European territories may be considered, provided that the application is submitted by an eligible production company as defined above.

Projects of all genres and lengths are eligible, including fiction, documentary, animation, experimental, hybrid or other contemporary forms of audiovisual creation.

Projects must be in development or pre-production and, at the time of application, must have at least 10% of their estimated total financing already confirmed.

Up to 12 projects will be selected. Each production company may submit a maximum of two projects.

The application must be submitted in English via the Eventival platform and include all materials requested in the application form. The upload of a teaser, mood video or other audiovisual material is optional at the application stage, but will be mandatory for selected projects taking part in the public presentation.

The selection will take into account the artistic quality of the proposal, the consistency of the narrative structure, the maturity of development, financial feasibility, international co-production potential, the clarity of the needs presented and the project’s suitability for the context of the Co-Production Meetings.

More information about the regulations and the application form will be available soon.
