Souleyman Ly left Guinea and has lived in Senegal since 1998. In a few concentrated minutes, "The Foreigner" listens as he reflects on the years spent away from home, the solitude of being perceived as a foreigner and the persistent dream of return. Between belonging and exile, the film traces the emotional distance between living elsewhere and being able to go back.
