Leaving his studio, António Cruz moves through Porto and observes the streets, buildings and river that appear in his paintings. Oliveira places the painter’s watercolours alongside filmed views of the same urban world. The city emerges both as a lived environment and as an image shaped by an artist’s eye. This dialogue between painting and cinema became Oliveira’s first film in colour.
