A white Hungarian director develops a theatre production with five young Roma actors, using their experiences of abuse, addiction, crime and discrimination as material. The performers gradually realise that the work reproduces the stereotypes it claims to challenge. Moving between cinema, theatre, music and dark comedy, the film examines racism, white guilt and the boundary between representation and exploitation.
