Through poems, letters, political texts, police reports and archival footage, Miguel Eek portrays Amílcar Cabral as strategist and visionary, but also as a man marked by love, family, ambition, danger and betrayal. As the struggle for the independence of Guinea-Bissau and Cape Verde intensifies, the film moves towards the unresolved question of the forces that led to his assassination in 1973.
