One of the most impressive films of the silent film era, The Passion of Joan of Arc depicts the story of the 15th-century warrior and heroine who was tried for claiming to have spoken to God. Dreyer found in Renée Jeanne Falconetti "the martyr's reincarnation", and etched every close-up of the actress forever in our memory.

This film will be screened as a film-concert, featuring an original creation by musician and producer Alex Fx.

Born from the musician’s long-standing desire, the proposal to be presented is careful not to “create a completely disruptive musical language in relation to the time period in which the action takes place,” the musician explains, while clarifying that it will be “a symbiosis of classical and electronic instruments, giving a new sonic perspective to the visual monument created by Carl Dreyer.”

A multi-instrumentalist musician and producer from Porto, Alex Fx has been connected to electronic-based music since the late '80s. From minimalism in the deepest techno to the most ethereal ambient, along with constant experimentation and attention to the smallest detail, regardless of the musical style. Between production and remixes, he has worked with names such as Alan Wilder (Recoil / Depeche Mode), David J (Bauhaus / Love & Rockets), Legendary Tigerman, The Gift, Repórter Estrábico, among many others.
