How to film a country? Is it possible to portray a country in film? These are the questions that permeate the work of filmmaker Salomé Jashi. Born in 1981 in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, the filmmaker has been trying since her first short film, in 2006, to show the world her country, largely unknown on the international landscape, through a poetic approach to everyday life: ordinary people, forgotten places, the slow and imperceptible passage of time, and what they say about the land where she was born.
