Five years after We Will Destroy Each Other, Little Friend are back with the second album, A Substitute for Sadness. John Almeida's project was absent during a period in which there was a gradual deconstruction of everything that was being written until an almost total reconstruction of music, sound, and even the identity of the project was inevitable. After deep changes, both personally and creatively, this album aims to reach a new sound, with more arrangements, orchestration and a more careful production. Again in close partnership and collaboration with producer André Tentugal, also responsible for the arrangements and composition, Little Friend present this new work in a showcase alongside with the screening of the short film The Velvet Underground Played at my High School.
