Cinema-Truth: 100 Years of Jean Rouch 2017

The Focus Cinema-Truth: 100 Years of Jean Rouch will screen the main works of the French author, in restored copies, in tribute to the hundredth anniversary of his birth. Rouch is one of the most creative references to non-fiction in film history. He is also an author whose freedom is still decisive for the future of art. In addition, Rouch also has a relationship with Porto and with Portuguese cinema, because of his connection to Manoel de Oliveira. With this Focus, Porto/Post/Doc also assumes that the great authors of the history of cinema need to be seen again, opening a window to the radical work of Jean Rouch. It will certainly be a great discovery for the younger generations.
