As Manga Cava emerge somewhere on a cool spring day, waiting for summer to arrive. Somewhere between shade and wild undergrowth, they scratch themselves on brambles and dream up melodies that can be whispered or shouted. There’s something impulsive, silly and bittersweet about them, like an afternoon with no plans. They make music for those who don’t take themselves too seriously and like to wander around with their arms bare, somewhere between afternoon naps and running around just to burn off energy. Their sound can only be described as “girly Portuguese indie pop punk rock from the wild”, whatever that means.
