Arthur, an anxious and hesitant history teacher, travels from Paris to Portugal in search of the scholar who might help him complete his unfinished thesis. Claire, a former partner, accompanies him through Lisbon and Porto. Amid research, reunions and unexpected events, the journey becomes a second chance at love and a subtle play on what we think we understand.
