This journey began in May 2014 and has always been about documentaries and the crescent hybridity between documentary and fiction. With its own identity, Há Filmes na Baixa! responds to the need of a regular and frequent documentary cinema programme in Porto. We want to show national and international cinema, award-winning films and prestigious authors, whether they are young creators or masters of the seventh art. Above all, we want to scree good movies.

Há Filmes na Baixa! is therefore an essential and complementary pillar of Porto/Post/Doc: Film & Media Festival, and it assumes the commitment of bringing quality cinema to a demanding and already loyal audience.
