Sarabande began as a personal documentary about the virtuoso of classical music Petrit Çeku, who in 2014 was about to record the Bach Cello Suites in Spain. But at that moment, the film became a road movie about borders and illegality, later to become a journey of two friends travelling between invented ideas of East and West, past and future.
